Here’s one way to trade Bitcoin even as BTC price teeters over an abyss
In the last 29 days, Bitcoin (BTC) has been ranging from $31,000 to $36,000 as the impact of the recent China ban and a $1.4 billion Grayscale GBTC share unlocking continue to pressure markets. China’s government implemented a series of measures to curb cryptocurrency mining and trading by ordering the immediate shut down of some operations and instructing domestic banks to suspend the bank accounts of entities involved in the industry. Meanwhile, the $21 billion trust fund Grayscale and its GBTC security is facing a troublesome period as institutional investors’ 6-month lock up comes to an end, creating a potential …

Here’s 2 ways clever pro traders spot crypto and stock price reversals
Trading in the direction of the trend is one of the best ways to be profitable. If traders learn to spot a new trend early, it provides an opportunity to buy with a good risk to reward ratio. In addition to identifying a trend, traders should also be able to recognize when it has reversed direction. While several patterns signal a possible trend change, one of the easiest to spot is the double bottom pattern. This can help traders change their strategy when the trend reverses direction from bearish to bullish. Let’s take a look at the double bottom pattern …

Crypto exchanges: Bridging the gap between sovereignty and performance
Back in 2019, an estimated 99% of crypto-asset transfers took place on centralized exchanges (CEXs), according to the number that was used by main crypto critic Nouriel Roubini. CEXs are likely to remain a central fixture of the crypto trading landscape for the foreseeable future. CEXs are fast and convenient, but typically require traders to deposit funds in an account controlled by the exchange. Unfortunately, history illustrates that this loss of sovereignty over a user’s digital assets can be an extreme and costly compromise. Decentralized exchanges (DEXs) offer an intriguing alternative and are gaining momentum, but are still not yet …

Key altcoin price metric flashed bullish ahead of Axie Infinity’s parabolic rally
Axie Infinity (AXS) has had a rough week: On July 1, it was trading at just above $5. One week later and following two consecutive two-day rallies, the price was charging past $19. AXS price has since dropped between $18 and $19, yet the coin’s weekly stats are still outstanding: 118% against United States dollar and 119% against Bitcoin (BTC) in a week. As AXS sits on top of the seven-day price change chart, many traders are wishing that they could have known earlier in the week that the asset was ready to explode. While it is impossible to see …

In a Friday announcement, the SEC said Eric Watson, Oliver Barret-Lindsay, and Gannon Giguiere were facing charges in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York for their role in trades connected to rebranding a beverage business to a blockchain firm, which caused the company’s stock price to rise significantly. Giguiere purchased 35,000 shares of Long Blockchain after having been allegedly tipped off to …

Balancer launches stable pools for like-kind swaps
Balancer, a popular automated market maker for cryptocurrencies, has launched a new protocol feature designed to lower fees and improve the trading execution for like-kind swaps. Stable pools “are designed specifically for assets that trade at a similar price,” wrote Fernando Martinelli, the co-founder and CEO of Balancer Labs. As such, the pools increase capital efficiency for like-kind swaps, thereby offering traders tighter spreads and lower slippage. Liquidity providers, meanwhile, have the opportunity to earn a competitive yield. Martinelli explained that, unlike traditional weighted pools, all tokens inside the Balancer stable pools are contained in a single vault: “On Balancer, …

Robinhood’s cash cow under SEC scrutiny amid IPO filing
Trading platform Robinhood could lose a significant revenue source should the United States Securities and Exchange Commission move to ban the controversial payment for order flows (PFOF) — routing retail trading orders to market makers. Brokers like Robinhood often use the practice to offset trading fees, thus providing zero commission trading to its retail customer base. According to the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, Robinhood’s initial public offering filing revealed that the broker earned 81% of its Q1 revenue from payment for order flows covering stock, options and crypto. As previously reported by Cointelegraph, Robinhood filed for its IPO on …
