Poloniex Spins Out From Circle to Form New Exchange Not Available in US
United States-based crypto exchange Poloniex is spinning out from Circle to form a new exchange that will not support trading for customers based in the U.S. New firm receives backing from Asian investment group The new independent firm, called Polo Digital Assets, will free Poloniex from its parent company Circle, the firm said in an official announcement on Oct. 18. Poloniex Delists Clams, Pascal, Steem, Navcoin, GameCredits and LBRY
Crypto exchange Poloniex has announced that it is delisting six digital currencies: Clams (CLAM), Pascal (PASC), Steem (STEEM), Navcoin (NAV), GameCredits (GAME) and LBRY Credits (LBC). According to a Reddit post published in the CLAMClient subreddit on Oct. 9, Poloniex announced the upcoming delisting in an email sent to users who hold them on the exchange. Global Wash Trading on Crypto Markets Down by Over 35%, BTI Reports
Global wash trading on cryptocurrency markets was down by more than 35% in September, according to the latest surveillance report from the Blockchain Transparency Institute (BTI). Kraken, Poloniex, Coinbase and Upbit are still the “cleanest” platforms According to the report, global wash trading was reduced by 35.7% among the exchanges on the institute’s top 40 listings. Report: Cryptojacking Campaigns Up by 29%, Ransomware Attacks Up 118%
Cybersecurity company McAfee Labs has released its August 2019 threat report, which notes an increase in cryptojacking campaigns and ransomware attacks in Q1 2019. Cryptojacking on the rise McAfee Labs posted their report on the company’s website on Aug. 28. San Francisco-based cryptocurrency exchange Poloniex is going to remove 23 trading pairs ostensibly due to low volume. In a tweet published on Aug. 15, Poloniex announced that it will be removing 23 trading pairs on August 16, 2019, due to low volume. Poloniex Will Reimburse $13.5 Million Loss From Clams Flash Crash
Cryptocurrency exchange Poloniex has announced a scheme to reimburse users affected by a flash crash in May, which led to total losses of around 1,800 Bitcoin (BTC). Circle Expands to Bermuda to Offer New Services to Non-US Clients
Major crypto payments firm Circle will launch a new subsidiary in Bermuda in order to serve non-American customers of its trading platform Poloniex.
