Bitcoin miner Northern Data says it has no financial debt, expects €192M in revenue for 2022
According to a new letter to shareholders posted on Dec. 21, Aroosh Thillainathan, CEO of German Bitcoin (BTC) mining company Northern Data, said that the firm expects to generate upwards of €190M to €194M in revenue from crypto mining operations this year. At the midpoint range, this represents a growth of 1.11% from Northern Data's total sales of €190M for the 2021 fiscal year, when the firm grew its revenue ten-fold from 2020. French regulator AMF blacklists only two crypto websites in the whole year
Financial regulators in France continue flagging illicit players on the foreign exchange (forex) and cryptocurrency markets, blacklisting a fresh batch of related websites. The French stock markets regulator, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), and the Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR), on Dec. 21, updated a blacklist of websites identified as unauthorized investments in forex and crypto assets. Out of the 15 newly-blacklisted websites, only two sites imply a direct connection with crypto in their name. These websites include 24cryptoforextrading.net and cryptoneyx.io. Bitcoin miner Core Scientific reportedly files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy
Just days after creditors offered to help Core Scientific — a Bitcoin (BTC) mining company — avoid possible bankruptcy, reports emerged confirming the business’ inevitable fate. Core Scientific reportedly filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Texas owing to falling revenue and BTC prices. On Dec. 14, Financial services platform B. Bitcoin miner Greenidge Generation signs $74M debt restructuring agreement with NYDIG
According to a new filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Dec. 20, Bitcoin (BTC) miner Greenidge stated that it reached an agreement with its creditor, fintech firm NYDIG, to restructure approximately $74 million worth of debt. The deal, in the form of a non-binding term sheet, would result in a major change to Greenidge's current business strategy. Essentially, it would transform Greenidge from self-mining to hosting for NYDIG's mining rigs. Sango Coin listing postponed by Central African Republic
The Central African Republic has announced it will delay the listing of cryptocurrency, Sango Coin, on crypto exchanges due to current market conditions and marketing reasons. The update was revealed in Sango's Telegram group.
